plated Vase - Silver

A herald of the Japonisme movement that swept through late 19th-century Paris, architect Émile Reiber reimagined a vase from the late Edo period for Christofle in 1874. Revived from the house's archives in patinated silver plate, it's cast in one sculptural form, bringing its modelled eyes, fins and curves to life.
