Like its brassy older brother; the sexily serpentine Model No. 022A is a double-jointed riff on that 20th century workaday staple—the humble desktop task lamp. At 16 tall; it’s slightly more petite than the Abalone Lawyer’s Lamp; but makes up for its stature with astounding flexibility and rugged good looks. It consists of a terra cotta-tinted cast-hydrocal plaster base and hand-wrapped paper-cord column topped by a cantilevered shade crafted from a sustainably sourced; barnacle-flecked Abalone seashell with a silver-hued; mother-of-pearl interior. Fully adjustable swivels at the top and bottom of the column allow for fine-tuning of the shade angle and overall silhouette. Polished chrome hardware; a khaki cloth-covered cord; 1940s-style plug; and contrasting inline switch complete the elegant profile of this hard-working; all-natural beauty.
