To achieve this stunning feat, perfumer Dominique Ropion worked with headspace, a modern technology that is used to analyse the scent molecules present in an air sample. Ropion managed to reproduce the flower's scent almost identically - immortalized on a summer's night, the gardenia reveals the full complexity of its milky, spicy, fruity fragrance, which is also irresistibly fresh and green.
