WHAT IT IS Inspired by the House's founder, Balenciaga's Cristóbal Parfum is enigmatic and understated, yet radiates gravitas, evoking the duality of M. Balenciaga. It is a tribute to the founder's name, the most treasured name of the House, realized through one of the most precious ingredients in perfumery, oud oil. An assafi oud essence is enhanced with a sensual double-thread of glowing patchouli oil and notes of oak moss. The refillable glass flacon features a globular glass cap and hand-tied ribbon. Scanned to match every detail of a bottle found in the archives dating back to 1947, each perfume is encased in packaging etched with the patina of age. Using modern industrial technology to evoke a time-lapse of history, this deliberate aging lends character to a collection defined by contrasts and dualities. 3. 4 oz. Made in France.
