Founded in 1643; on the threshold of the reign of Louis XIV; Cire Trudon is the oldest Candlemaker in the world still active today. Cire Trudon's collection of 'Pillar' candles pays homage to Madame de Pompadour — defender of the arts and literature; and Louis the 15th favorite. Milled; colored and decorated in its Normandy atelier; each is topped with a gilded cameo that represents her love of the ornamental piece.
