He designed grunge-inspired collections, created a mass quirk appeal, and even made un-sexy ultra seductive. In addition to designing his own women's collection, menswear line, and their diffusion lines, Jacobs also acts as Creative Director for Louis Vuitton. He has won several awards, including the award for New Fashion Talent and Womenswear Designer of the Year by the CFDA. In 2009, he and Kate Moss hosted the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala.
