A special heirloom wash produces the subtle color variations that give Oushak rugs their distinctive antique look; therefore, each will differ slightly from the one shown here. All rugs have a "light" and a "dark" side, depending on the viewing angle. The photos at left show this rug from both sides. Per brand, approximate size of rug is 2 '6" x 10 ' Size is approximate. Hand-knotted rugs tend to shed less than hand-tufted rugs, and flatweave rugs will shed less than those with a deeper pile, but all rugs will shed more in high-traffic areas than they do in lower-traffic spaces. We recommend using a rug pad with every indoor rug to prolong its beauty by minimizing everyday wear and tear and providing a little breathing space to help prevent fiber damage.
