Founded in 2013 by sisters Chiara and Giuliana Macchiavello; ESCVDO is inspired by and dedicated to the duo’s Peruvian heritage; focusing on ancestral weaving techniques with a modern take and ethical approach. Handcrafted in Peru; the 'Ursula' skirt is inspired by geometrical patters found in traditional Peruvian textiles and made in signature 'Abanico' stitch. Each dress takes knitters over two weeks of full crochet immersion; and it is made by only one person; so the hand and crocheting style is absolutely even. Its cotton is locally sourced from the coastal region of Pisco; Peru and adheres to the highest fair-trade standards.
