The Cire Trudon Ex-Voto Bust Candle is a non-scented wax sculpture adorned with a wick, created in tribute to the primary function of a candle while intended to be collected rather than consumed. Its design references an Ex-Voto found during archaeological excavations in Syria in the 1850s, likely an offering to a Syrian deity, with the engraved dedication “Prokla en ex-voto” meaning “For herself or her house, to dedicate.” The original work is exhibited at the Louvre, and this reproduction was created as part of Cire Trudon’s collaboration with the Réunion des Musées Nationaux; it measures approximately 5.11 inches tall.
