Inside Priya Shukla's Closet
We catch up with the fashion PR maven and consultant on what she’s adding to her Vêtir closet for fall.

Fashion PR executive, brand consultant and content creator Priya Shukla knows how to have fun with fashion. The former longtime senior VP of global communications at Vera Wang and current head of celebrity at Danielle Frankel is often spotted on the scene in perfectly polished head-to-toe looks that reflects her multicultural background. “I never know how to label my style, because a lot of it is mood based for me,” Priya tells Vêtir. “I’m such a cultural mix (Australian, American and Indian) and I claim all of those sides of me: I was born and raised in Australia so I love resort wear and color. Having said that, I’ve lived in New York for 20 years so I love being in all black and modern silhouettes. I’m also Indian so I love jewelry, texture and embellishment!” Prints, fanciful frocks and coordinating sets (plus adorable cameos from her two equally stylish daughters) all feature in her sartorial rotation. Alaïa, Miu Miu, Celine and Zimmermann are amongst her favorite brands. For fall, she’s eyeing some key pieces to add to her Vêtir closet. “I have a ton of Alaïa pieces on my wishlist, especially the sculptural pieces—there’s this one trench coat that I know will change my life,” says Priya. “I’m also lusting after all the Saint Laurent super high platform boots.” And because her look is never complete without statement accessories, she’s leaning on bold and chunky jewelry from Julietta and Jennifer Fisher.
