Cartier's watch recalls the original crafted by Louis Cartier at the turn of the century for his friend, Alberto Santos-Dumont—fashionable men of the time would later enquire about the timepiece after seeing it on the Brazilian aviator's wrist. Powered by a high autonomy quartz movement, this reference has a satin-brushed dial and a dark-grey alligator strap. The black Roman numerals and blued-steel hands stand out against the face, and it's finished with the signature single sapphire at the crown and the eight screws that dot the 18-karat rose gold case.
