The Rolex Submariner Date Watch, reference 16808, is a circa 1980 automatic timepiece with a 40mm round 18K yellow gold case and a blue gilt dial. It features luminous dot, slash and triangle markers, Mercedes-style skeleton hands, a sapphire crystal, a yellow gold unidirectional rotating bezel, date and sweep seconds. Rolex punched papers accompany the watch, and the case back is engraved “To Dad 6-5-90 Love Barry.”
