Paris Fashion Week Spring 2027: The Shows, Trends and Pieces That Mattered

Paris Fashion Week spring 2027, in short: the clothes got lighter, in fabric and in mood, and the best of them were real clothes. In a city still hot at the end of September, Jonathan Anderson built Dior on chiffon and Hermès built a collection around air; Balenciaga turned couture technique on T-shirts and jeans, and Miu Miu put track pants under blazers and knee-length pleated skirts back at the center of the look. The designers hired in fashion's great reshuffle settled in, two newcomers made debuts, and Saint Laurent sent out 49 looks in gold in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Below: the facts, the storylines, the shows that mattered, the trends, the bags and shoes, the street style and what to buy now. The spring 2027 collections reach stores next spring, so every product here is current stock from the same houses, chosen because it carries the same idea.

The storylines behind the season
Year two of the great designer reshuffle
Most of the designers hired in the 2024 and 2025 reshuffle showed a year or more into the job, and the mood was consolidation, not reinvention. Jonathan Anderson, a year after his women's debut at Dior, worked with a far lighter hand; Matthieu Blazy marked a year at Chanel with the house at the top of the Lyst Index and, by figures Bloomberg reported, 16% growth in the first half of 2026; Pierpaolo Piccioli, a little over a year into Balenciaga, carried couture methods into everyday clothes; Michael Rider, just over a year into Celine, worked on instinct, without a mood board, and Loewe's show notes pitched Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez's collection as a wardrobe to wear rather than a set of showpieces. Glenn Martens brought Maison Margiela back to Paris eleven days after Diesel announced his departure from the denim label. Julian Klausner gave Dries Van Noten what Vogue Runway called his best collection yet, Sarah Burton sharpened Givenchy's tailoring, and Alessandro Michele brought Valentino back to Paris.
Saint Laurent's gold, and the question it raised
Anthony Vaccarello marked ten years since his first Saint Laurent show by dressing almost the entire collection in gold. At dusk on the Trocadéro, facing the Eiffel Tower, 49 of the 59 looks were gold before the last ten turned to black, and Charlotte Gainsbourg closed the show with a surprise song. Vaccarello gave no interviews; his show notes read, "A light shines all the more brightly because we know it cannot be held," AFP reported. Many critics read the evening as a farewell, Vogue Runway's reviewer among them. As we published, Saint Laurent had not announced any change.
Alaïa after Pieter Mulier
Alaïa showed its first collection since Pieter Mulier left after five years; he is due to make his debut at Versace early next year. The house held a presentation rather than a runway show, in the former Fondation Cartier building on Boulevard Raspail, and credited the clothes to its own atelier and design team, with no creative director named. The clothes stayed close to the house's codes: short black Spencer jackets closed with rows of tiny buttons, leather skater skirts pleated in a spiral, the house's knit skater dress in butter yellow, and a burgundy leather coat shaped by a bustier at the waist. WWD's Miles Socha praised the workmanship and found it unmistakably Alaïa, but missed the jolt of Mulier's farewell show in March.
The debuts, and a first for South Africa
Drew Henry, Courrèges' new artistic director, has worked with Phoebe Philo at Céline and on her own label, at JW Anderson and, most recently, at Burberry. For his debut he looked past the house's space-age white to the colors of its early-1960s beginnings: bright suits with frayed edges, thick leather belts left hanging open, mod A-line dresses and go-go boots with bows, scuffed on purpose. Reviews were largely warm, though some read it as a first chapter rather than a finished statement. Kai Nesselrath, Carven's new design director, worked at Chanel under Lagerfeld and spent nearly a decade at Saint Laurent, and his debut was light and wearable: backless maxi dresses, pale blue and pink polo and pajama tops, gold earrings shaped like pencil shavings.
MaXhosa Africa, Laduma Ngxokolo's knitwear label, became the first South African brand to stage a full runway show on the official calendar; Ngxokolo told Reuters he had been fighting for a seat at the table for 16 years. And Julie Kegels, the Belgian designer who won this year's LVMH Prize, opened the week with clothes built to look as if they were slipping off while staying in place: trousers with the crotch dropped to the knee, denim jackets worn inside out, tights left to sag on purpose.
The shows that mattered, in running order
The houses that shaped the week, in the order they showed, and what each one means for a real wardrobe.
Dior: a lighter hand
Anderson ran his runway across the octagonal basin in the Tuileries, with mist rising around camphor trees and ceiling fans turning against the heat. "It starts off with chiffon," he told Vogue Runway, and it did: near-transparent versions of the 1947 Bar jacket, sheer suiting in pinstripe and houndstooth, pleats packed tight at the top and released toward the hem, and short skirts of layered chiffon. For a real wardrobe, the easier pieces matter more: metallic snakeskin-effect trousers and striped shirts reworked with pleats. PurseBlog reported the Cigale bag's return, in metallics and python, and a suppler Lady Dior; in shoes, watch the Bow sandal.
Maison Margiela: hard and soft
Martens titled the co-ed collection Hard and Soft and staged it at the Élysée Montmartre among walls of wilting flowers by Mark Colle, the florist behind Raf Simons' 2012 Dior couture debut. After more theatrical shows, this was a collection built to be worn: concertina lapels that fold in or out, 1960s brocade florals, column skirts tied with the house's cotton tape. For us the accessories were the strongest part: plump brown leather bags that slump like a deflated football, and heeled sandals with bright cord wound around the ankle.
Saint Laurent: gold in every finish
The gold came as crinkled metallic cotton, brocade, guipure lace and latex coated in gold leaf. A gilded lamé jacket and pencil skirt opened; safari jackets, trenches and wrap dresses with 1980s shoulders followed, before a black finale that began with a velvet suit with jeweled buttons. Stilettos had serpent heels, Laetitia Crahay's earrings were monumental filigree, and no bags were shown. Take away the safari jacket, the trench and serious gold jewelry; our Saint Laurent guide covers the classics.
The Row: the Hippie Trail
The house best known for spare minimalism turned to handwork. WWD's Samantha Conti framed it as a trip along the old Hippie Trail, in floral and madras cloths that could have come from markets in Turkey, South India or Thailand. Tailoring met strings of hippie beads, white shirts went with jeans, a halter came in the finest crochet, and a dress was built from layers of gold and white lace. Nearly every look was finished with flip-flops, sandals or slides. Coming from The Row, crochet and flip-flops are a strong signal for next summer; our guide to The Row covers the core pieces.
Dries Van Noten: the actress off set
At the Palais Garnier, Klausner pictured an actress heading back into ordinary life after a day on set, and layered her glamour over everyday clothes: a cocktail dress pulled over a rugby shirt, a sequined blouse over a casual shirt, bias-cut satin slips under broad, dropped-shoulder blazers. "I kept thinking about glamour, in quite an innocent way," he told Elle. The prints were invented pulp-film posters, and brooches, wide gold belts, raffia lace-up flats and a single hot-pink racing glove finished the looks. We expect the poster silks to become collector's pieces; the layering trick works now, with Dries Van Noten or anything you own.
Tom Ford: seduction, after dark
Haider Ackermann showed in a near-dark, mirrored room on Place Vendôme, models watching one another through the glass. Ruby-red slit dresses, structured satin bras worn as tops, sheer knit skirts over lingerie, suits worn bare-chested and cut-out swimsuits beside the tailoring made it, in our view, the most charged collection of the week. AnOther's Alexander Fury called the result a real achievement.
Chloé: broderie anglaise
Chemena Kamali's Obsession collection, shown in the gardens of the Paris Observatory, was built on broderie anglaise, the eyelet embroidery of the house's earliest dresses, worked from two antique sample books. It ran across blouses and nightshirt dresses and was punched into leather bags and tall boots. Her aim was to "explore Chloé's archetypes – never its stereotypes," she told AFP. Fishermen's oilskins and capes were remade in transparent vinyl, Apple Martin made her runway debut in white broderie anglaise, and the show ended in a standing ovation. If you adopt one runway idea now, make it Chloé's white eyelet.
Balenciaga: couture for T-shirts and jeans
Piccioli showed by daylight at the Tennis Club de Paris, around a monumental textile coral by the artist Aude Franjou, and called it his most personal show for the house. Couture technique went into ordinary clothes: outside stitching that shapes T-shirts and leather jackets, a white shirt flaring into a peplum, ripped jeans with a molded hourglass waist and, our favorite trick of the week, a pale-pink taffeta T-shirt cut so full that, worn over jeans, it passed for a ball gown. "I like shirts, I like jeans – I like the dignity of them," he told The Guardian. Two new hand-draped bags, the Nodo and the Silhou Tote, came out beside softer versions of the Le City and the Rodeo.
Loewe: New England meets Spanish baroque
In a white theater-in-the-round inside the Château de Vincennes, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez crossed the New England youth and 1990s spirit they described to WWD with Loewe's Spanish baroque. Polos came on backwards, boat shoes had bright laces, trench coats had resin collars, trousers and pencil skirts were left unzipped at the hip, and a 1960 suede blazer came out of the archive. The Puzzle returned in its softest form, which the house calls the Puzzle Featherlight Charm, and shoes ran to charm-hung sandals and bow-trimmed slingbacks. Our guide to Loewe bags covers the Puzzle and Amazona in stores now.
Givenchy: engineered tailoring
At Les Invalides, Sarah Burton framed the collection around balance and clarity. "Everything is cut in a very engineered way," she told Vogue Runway, and the first look proved it: a black leather dress whose curving side zips opened onto a bright yellow lining. Suits were wrapped and deconstructed, and a pinstripe blazer had its sleeves pinned across the chest. The Givenchy accessories had weight: crescent-moon bags, the Shark boot reworked with a front zip worn open, a belt closed with the gold lid of a mirrored compact from the archive.
Celine: calm under a thatched roof
Rider showed at the Archives Nationales in the Marais, his models walking under a thatched roof. He called the idea emotional dressing, and his notes promised calm. The palette ran from cream and hay to tomato red, through a sculpted top and trousers in that red, a full-length dress printed with sundials, a short-sleeved turtleneck dress worked in beads, collarless leather capes and slouchy trousers gathered at the ankle. The accessories previewed next summer: an extra-large floral patchwork bag, long beaded necklaces, jazz shoes, cuffs worn high on the arm and big gold buckles.
Hermès: the shape of air
In a hot white space inside the Garde Républicaine barracks, Nadège Vanhée answered the heat with leather that lets air through: perforated suede jackets, leather skirts and dresses cut into strips as high as the thigh, mesh dresses stitched with fine leather strips, loose knits over bandeau tops. Parkas zipped shorter or longer, and silk ones turned into gilets. The palette moved from ivory and icy blue through earth tones to sunflower yellow and Hermès orange. For a hot summer, we rate it the most practical collection of the week.
Miu Miu: sportswear, raised
Miuccia Prada's Here and Now opened with knee-length, checked, box-pleated skirts, the length Prada and Raf Simons showed at Prada in Milan, and Vogue Runway noticed guests already wearing it around Paris. Then came track pants under blazers and blouses, crystal-embellished sports bras over performance tops, cracked, waxed suede and white drawstrings tied in bows. "The reality of clothing today is this mix – sportswear, casual, normal," Prada told The Guardian. Olivia Colman made her runway debut, and Gigi Hadid closed the show in the new Miu Miu x New Balance sneaker. Our Miu Miu guide covers the house in depth.
Valentino: the antilibrary
Michele staged Valentino's return to Paris in the reading room of the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève. Guests were asked to bring a book, later donated to local libraries, and the collection, Antibiblioteca, borrowed Nassim Nicholas Taleb's term for Umberto Eco's library of unread books, which Michele likened to the beautiful clothes we keep and never wear. Corset tops in bright silk worn over skirts of another color, ostrich-feather hems, lace cycling shorts and double-pleated jeans came with baroque gold necklaces and giant pearl earrings. The corset tops and the Valentino Garavani jewelry work on their own.
Chanel: one woman, many selves
Blazy returned to the Grand Palais a year after his debut, under a flock of 95 white birds hung from the glass roof, an idea he took from watching migrating birds in southern Italy, The Guardian reported. His mood board was Gabrielle Chanel herself, and the 83 looks traced her life from the men's clothes she borrowed to the tweed suit she made her own, while Nicole Kidman read Virginia Woolf on the soundtrack. The same model opened and closed the show carrying Gabrielle's own well-worn 2.55. In between came semi-sheer knits, a pearl-embroidered corset top with men's black trousers, red-and-white tiger-print tweed, tutus, parachute dresses printed with clouds, and the classic suit worn with nothing underneath. WWD read the closer fits as an answer to fans who found his boxy shapes hard to wear. The newest suit took a year of fabric development: smocked silk on an elastic base, made to look like tweed and stretch like sportswear. “We all look at Nike,” Blazy told WWD. The two-tone pump came in zebra, leopard and yellow polka dots. Our read: the stretch suit is the piece to watch, a Chanel jacket you can actually move in.
Louis Vuitton: lighter than a T-shirt
Nicolas Ghesquière closed the week in the Louvre's Cour Carrée, days after receiving the Légion d'honneur from President Macron. Thirty-four Damier-checked flying cars hovered on stilts above an asphalt runway, a city of the future in a warming world, and he told The Guardian that this summer's heat had shaped the collection. The clothes were cut for it: silk slip dresses, vented tunics and chiffon layers, and familiar shapes, three-hole dresses, cardigans, blousons and reefer coats, in fabrics so fine that most of the coats weighed less than a T-shirt, he told WWD. Double-face coats were made in scarf-weight checked cashmere, much of the tailoring was cut in jersey and knit, the colors were soft and the prints small. Beaded silver fringes worn like visors kept his science-fiction streak, and black leather brogues gave the gauze some weight. For a designer who calls himself a specialist in armor, it is a real change of direction. Our read: the featherweight double-face coats are the pieces to watch, and lightness was the season's defining idea.
Six more shows worth knowing
- Stella McCartney: an ocean-conservation collection, shown in the rain, with wave embroidery, dolphin T-shirts and clear bags holding a starfish; McCartney told The Guardian there was no wool on the runway this season.
- Rick Owens: for Stone, models came down a long ramp over the Palais de Tokyo pool between rows of fountain jets, in column dresses of satin woven from the nylon webbing used to strap down shipping crates, with crystal-crusted platform boots; AnOther's Alexander Fury read it as couture in spirit.
- Schiaparelli: Daniel Roseberry pared the house down to mix-and-match separates in black, bone and butter, with eight versions of the Schiap jacket and a back-to-front tuxedo dress.
- Isabel Marant: Kim Bekker paired white board shorts with crochet tops and low-slung jeans with bikini tops, on a set with a floor of sand.
- Victoria Beckham: a collection inspired by 1920s dancers, with semi-sheer shifts held straight by beads hidden in their hems, and pleated asymmetric dresses suspended from jewelry chains.
- Gabriela Hearst: a collection inspired by Afghanistan and partly made by Afghan women artisans with the nonprofit Turquoise Mountain, with ikat patchwork jackets, mirror embroidery and white dresses embroidered with pomegranates, Reuters reported. We carry Gabriela Hearst direct from the brand.
Paris Fashion Week trends: the 10 ideas for spring 2027
Read across the whole calendar, the spring 2027 runway trends held together: the same ideas came back from house to house. These are the 10 worth knowing, with how to wear each one now.
1. Air: sheer, weightless layers
Lightness was the week's biggest idea, partly as an answer to hotter summers: chiffon and near-transparent tailoring at Dior, featherweight double-face coats at Louis Vuitton, perforated suede and open knits at Hermès, sheer Calais lace at Balenciaga, semi-sheer shifts at Victoria Beckham, transparent knit skirts at Tom Ford. Wear it now: a sheer blouse over a camisole in the same shade, with everything else solid and a blazer on top for the office.

ZimmermannDaylight semi-sheer chiffon wide-leg pants$675
2. Real clothes, made like couture
The most useful idea for a wardrobe started at Balenciaga, where couture stitching shaped T-shirts, shirts and jeans, and ran through Givenchy's clean tailoring and Peter Copping's Lanvin, built on clothes women will actually wear. Wear it now: spend on the plainest pieces with the best construction, a white shirt with real shape or well-cut jeans, rather than on a logo.
3. Sportswear, made elegant
Miu Miu led, with track pants under blazers and crystal bras over performance tops. Chanel cut its newest suit in a stretch fabric made to pass for tweed. Loewe had backwards polos and cycling capris worn with socks, Balenciaga light oversized bombers and cargo trousers; Hermès made the parka convertible, and Stella McCartney showed pastel windbreakers. Wear it now: track pants with a crisp shirt, a blazer and loafers or clean sneakers.
Track pants, polos and sport pieces, dressed up
4. Knee-length and pleated skirts
Miu Miu's opening checked skirts set the length, and pleats ran through the week: at Dior they were packed tight at the top and released toward the hem, Alaïa had diagonally tiered and spiral-pleated skirts, Hermès swooping pleats in leather and silk, and Victoria Beckham pleated asymmetric dresses. Wear it now: a knee-length pleated skirt with a fine knit or a polo, a short jacket and flat shoes; keep the top close to the body so the pleats have room to move. Our skirt shop has every length.

5. Lace, and Chloé's eyelet
Lace was everywhere: guipure and metal-thread lace at Saint Laurent, Chantilly at Dior, Calais lace at Balenciaga, lace cycling shorts at Valentino, lace-edged camisoles at The Row. The breakout was broderie anglaise, the eyelet that made up most of Chloé's collection; Schiaparelli used it too. Wear it now: white eyelet with dark denim or black tailoring and flat sandals, and lace on one piece at a time.

ChloéTie-front gathered blouse in silk georgette & lace$2,150
Isabel MarantMetorie crochet top$790
ZimmermannIndra Crochet Cotton Fringe Midi Skirt$775
Saint LaurentLace Mini Skirt$2,650
6. Lingerie worn as clothes
Bra tops, bustiers and bandeaus came out from underneath: satin bras at Tom Ford, sheer looks and a suit jacket worn over bare skin at Chanel, bras under cropped jackets at Balmain, satin bustiers at Valentino, plunging bodysuits at Schiaparelli, bandeau tops under open knits at Hermès. Wear it now: a bustier or bodysuit under an open blazer, with trousers or a long skirt to balance it.
7. Gold, and metal as an accent
Head-to-toe gold belonged to Saint Laurent alone. Elsewhere metal was an accent: Dior's silver and copper leather trousers and metallic snakeskin, crushed silver at Margiela, silk lamé at Balmain, baroque gold necklaces at Valentino, gold birds on Chanel's earrings and bags, and Givenchy's gold compact buckle. Wear it now: one gold piece at a time, a metallic skirt with a white T-shirt or sculptural gold earrings with a plain shirt.

8. The belt
The New York Times named the belt the accessory of the moment, and the evidence was everywhere: a Celine belt with an outsize buckle worn by show-goers, chunky belts wrapped around coats at Courrèges, wide gold belts at Dries Van Noten, belts layered on belts at Acne Studios, leather belts over sheer dresses at Hermès and a long tassel belt at The Row. Wear it now: belt a blazer or a long cardigan at the natural waist, or cinch a sheer dress over a slip. Our guide to designer belts covers widths and buckles, and the belt shop has the full range.
Statement belts, from big buckles to corset belts
9. Fringe, beads and crochet
Handwork gave the season its warmth. The Row went to crochet, fringe and beads, Isabel Marant paired crochet tops with board shorts, Givenchy ended a bugle-bead little black dress in fringe, Sacai cut leather skirts into swinging strips, Celine beaded its knits and Louis Vuitton hung beaded silver fringes across the models' faces like visors. Wear it now: one crochet or fringed piece with plain tailoring or denim, never head to toe.
10. Optical tricks
Vanessa Friedman of The New York Times built one of her reviews around clothes that are not what they first appear to be. The same game ran beyond the shows she covered: Balenciaga's taffeta T-shirt that passed for a ball gown, and Julie Kegels' clothes, which look as if they are sliding off but are built to stay in place. Wear it now: this is a runway idea more than a shopping one, and a trompe-l'oeil print is the easiest way in.
The colors: soft pastels led, from Dior's butter yellow and powder blue to Elie Saab's blush and the icy blue of Hermès's opening looks, cut with acid lime at Balenciaga, Courrèges and Miu Miu, hot pink and fuchsia at Balenciaga and Valentino, and cobalt at Givenchy and Celine.
The bags, shoes and jewelry to know
Nearly all of these arrive with the spring 2027 deliveries, and the only release date we found is for one sneaker. Here is what to look for, and what to buy in the meantime.
Bags: soft, knotted and shaped by hand
Balenciaga's new Nodo and Silhou Tote are draped and knotted by hand. Miu Miu's Retour, PurseBlog reported, is a duffle in python or smooth leather, shown beside a python tote with drawstring sides. Loewe added the drawstring Pasito and a softer Puzzle, and Dior, by PurseBlog's account, brought back the Cigale and softened the Lady Dior. At Chanel, PurseBlog counted an elongated east-west clutch, a cargo-style quilted shoulder bag, a flap with an oversized CC clasp and the Birdcage bag back on the runway. Evening bags became objects, such as Givenchy's crescent moons and Dior's walnut-shaped minaudière; Hermès showed bucket bags in open latticework, and Saint Laurent showed no bags at all. The bags below are in stores now: Balenciaga's Le City and Rodeo, Loewe's Puzzle, Chloé's Paddington, Miu Miu's Wander and Jonathan Anderson's Toujours hobo for Dior, plus python from Loewe and Dries Van Noten.

Shoes: mostly flat, with a few statement heels
The flat end of the week mattered most: flip-flops and slides at The Row, flat leather sandals at Hermès, Balenciaga's flat Wave thong sandal, sock-like flats at Loewe, jazz shoes at Celine, flat brogues with Givenchy's trouser suits and black brogues under Louis Vuitton's chiffon. Bows were the recurring detail, on Dior's Bow sandal, Loewe's slingbacks and Courrèges' thong heels. The statement heels were Saint Laurent's serpent stilettos, Dior's square-toe heels printed with flower photographs and Chanel's two-tone pumps in animal prints and polka dots. The sneaker of the week was the Miu Miu x New Balance RC150, a 1990s racer due in February 2027, Highsnobiety reported. For flats in stores now, see our ballet flat guide or the full ballet flat shop.

Jewelry: bigger earrings
Earrings grew: monumental gold filigree at Saint Laurent, cascading petal earrings at Dior, puffy hoops at Givenchy, pencil shavings at Carven. Valentino paired baroque gold chains with giant pearl earrings, Chloé hung gold and silver shells and flowers on bare chests, and The Row layered fine beaded necklaces. A pair of statement earrings is the simplest way to bring the season into what you own.
Paris Fashion Week street style
Outside the shows, black stayed the base, lifted with pink and raspberry. In the heat of the opening days many guests went bare-legged in slip, mini and jacquard skirts; others chose baggy or pleated wide-leg jeans, straight leather trousers or capris, under leather and suede jackets, car coats and bombers. Trench coats were everywhere, one worn as a dress, and leopard outerwear stood out among the best dressed. Lingerie went outside too: balconette bras as tops, and a corset over a crisp white shirt. The accessories were bug-eye sunglasses, long fringe necklaces, shiny belts, brooches in place of blazer buttons, small hats, loafer mules, knee-high suede boots and python-effect bags.
In the front rows, Dior held its start for Rihanna, Jennifer Lawrence carried a mini Lady Dior, Jennifer Lopez watched Stella McCartney's rain-soaked show under an umbrella, and Olivia Colman walked for Miu Miu. If you are going next season, our guide to what to wear to fashion week covers the practical side.
How to wear Paris spring 2027 now
The runway pieces reach boutiques next spring; beyond the RC150, no house we read has given a date. Until then, these five formulas carry the season's ideas with pieces in stores now.
- The Miu Miu uniform: a knee-length pleated skirt, a fine knit polo, a cropped jacket and ballet flats. In navy, ivory and gray it works for the office; white sneakers make it a weekend look.
- Dior and Hermès lightness: a sheer ivory blouse over an ivory camisole, straight black trousers and a black belt with a gold buckle, which gives the soft top a waist.
- Sport, tailored: gray track pants, a crisp white shirt, a navy blazer and black loafers. Choose track pants in poplin or heavy jersey with a pressed crease, so they read as deliberate.
- One piece of gold: a gold metallic skirt with a white T-shirt and black flats, or big gold earrings with a plain shirt and jeans.
- Chloé's white: a white eyelet top with dark jeans and flat sandals in black or white; for evening, swap the jeans for a black skirt.

How we chose
Every product here comes from a house that showed on the Paris calendar this season and was in stock on Vêtir on the day we published. We matched each one to an idea from the shows: box pleats and checks for Miu Miu's opener, fishnet and cut-out flats for the week's fixation on air, eyelet and crochet for Chloé and The Row, metal-thread lace and crinkled gold for Saint Laurent's gold, a buckle you can read across a room for the belt story. We checked every photograph for color and construction, excluded pre-owned stock, and included Chloé only where Chloé sells it directly. Vêtir carries Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Hermès only pre-owned, so those houses appear in the reporting but not in these new-season edits; the Dior bag comes direct from Dior.
Frequently asked questions
When is the next Paris Fashion Week?
The next womenswear Paris Fashion Week, for fall/winter 2027-28, runs from Monday, March 1, to Tuesday, March 9, 2027, according to the FHCM. Before that come men's shows (January 19 to 24) and Haute Couture (January 25 to 28); the spring/summer 2028 womenswear week is set for September 27 to October 5, 2027.
Can the public attend Paris Fashion Week, and how can you watch?
The shows and presentations on the official calendar are by invitation only. The public way in is online: this season the FHCM calendar marked 30 houses for livestream, and Hermès and Chanel released films of their shows later the same day.
How many shows were at Paris Fashion Week spring 2027?
The final FHCM calendar listed 101 houses: 67 runway shows and 34 presentations. Many reports give 68 shows and 33 presentations, the figures from the provisional calendar published in July. Paris Fashion Week 2026 had two womenswear editions, fall/winter in March and this spring/summer season.
Who opened and closed Paris Fashion Week?
Julie Kegels, the Belgian designer who won the 2026 LVMH Prize, opened the week on Monday, September 28. Louis Vuitton closed it on Tuesday, October 6.
What is the difference between Paris Fashion Week, Haute Couture Week and men's fashion week?
The FHCM runs all three. Womenswear Paris Fashion Week shows ready-to-wear twice a year, in March for fall/winter and from late September into October for spring/summer. Men's weeks are in January and June. Haute Couture Week, in January and July, shows made-to-measure clothes from houses allowed to use the haute couture name, a legally protected designation in France since 1945.
When will the spring 2027 collections be in stores?
Next spring. The houses do not publish a single date, and we found none for the main collections; the one date reported is February 2027, for the Miu Miu x New Balance RC150, according to Highsnobiety. Some houses, Loewe among them, let you sign up for an alert on their own sites. Until then, current pieces from the same houses carry the same ideas.
